emerged in 2020 from an initiative by German companies with the aim of
sustainably strengthening the physical and digital infrastructure in Africa
together with local contributors.

Health is a global development goal!
Strong, efficient health care is the basis for realising the human right to the "highest attainable standard of physical and mental health", as formulated by the United Nations in the Social Covenant as early as 1966. Health is a global development goal - every person should have access to adequate, comprehensive and affordable health care for all population groups. In most developing and emerging countries, however, a large proportion of people still do not have sufficient access to adequate health care.

The African German Health Association e. V. emerged in 2020 from an initiative by companies to make a contribution and sustainably strengthen health systems in Africa together with local actors. The association works on a project-oriented basis to create new impulses in both the digital and physical infrastructure in African partner countries with a focus on long-term success. To this end, all activities are designed in accord-ance with the UN Global Compact and the UN Sustainability Development Goals.

Our mission
On 25 September 2015, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Sustainability Development Goals, which are to be achieved by 2030. It is our mission to contribute to this goal.
Together, we make a sustainable contribution:
- Strengthening the physical and digital infrastructure of Africa‘s health systems
- Close cooperation with organisations, politics and the private sector
- Joint development of sustainable concepts
Our activities
Since its start in 2020, the association has already implemented numerous projects with its project partners in Africa. Fully involving local and international stakeholders in all project phases is very important to us.
